Description / Περιγραφή
Silene colorata is an annual plant endemic to the Mediterranean that grows throughout Greece, at an altitude of up to 700 meters, on sandy and rocky beaches, fields, roadsides, forest clearings, heaths and meadows. Ιnitially it grows close to the ground then with upright shoots up to 50 cm high, with opposite leaves, linear to ovate and the lower ones with a stalk.

Το Silene colorata είναι ένα ετήσιο φυτό ενδημικό της Μεσογείου που φύεται σε όλη την Ελλάδα, σε υψόμετρο έως 700 μέτρα, σε αμμώδεις και βραχώδεις παραλίες, σε χωράφια, στις άκρες των δρόμων, σε δασικές εκτάσεις, σε ερείπια και λιβάδια. Αρχικά αναπτύσσεται κοντά στο έδαφος και στη συνέχεια με όρθιους βλαστούς ύψους έως 50 cm, με αντίθετα φύλλα, γραμμικά έως ωοειδή και τα κατώτερα με μίσχο.
